Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using SPEC-R, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan users.
2. The Service
SPEC-R is a specification management platform that provides block-based spec editing, AI-assisted generation, MCP integration, and related tools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of the specifications, blocks, and content you create. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your content to you and, where you have enabled public sharing, to recipients of your shared links. We claim no intellectual property rights over your work.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use SPEC-R to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or other users' data
- Abuse the AI generation features in ways that violate your AI provider's terms
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service in bulk
- Resell access to the service without authorization
6. Billing and Cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices may change with 30 days notice.
7. Third-Party Services
SPEC-R integrates with third-party services (Anthropic, OpenAI, Jira, etc.). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your use.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SPEC-R shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France, unless applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
